Elaine Hagenberg

Elaine Hagenberg’s music “soars with eloquence and ingenuity” (ACDA Choral Journal). Her compositions have been awarded and performed by schools, churches, universities, honor choirs and festivals throughout the United States and abroad. Her music has been featured at the National Youth Choir at Carnegie Hall, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, the Melbourne International Choral Festival in Australia, International Children’s Choir Festival in Canterbury and London, national and regional American Choral Directors Association Conferences, All State festivals, as well as performances in South Africa and Asia.

Elaine graduated from Drake University and her compositions are published with Hinshaw Music, Oxford University Press, Hal Leonard, G. Schirmer, and Beckenhorst Press.

Registration Information

Come, join in this annual tradition as singers and conductors from around Metropolitan Detroit join together each year for a day exploring the music of a leading composer.  This year’s festival will feature the compositions of Elaine Hagenberg.  Ms Hagenberg’s music is frequently found on the repertoire lists of festivals around the world.  The Choral Journal says her music “soars with eloquence and ingenuity.”

Composer Festival is an amazing opportunity to get insights into the music directly from the composer.  So, whether you’re a choral singer or a choral conductor looking for new music for your school or church, an amateur singer or a seasoned pro, we guarantee a meaningful and inspiring day of making music.

Registration

Registration Fee:  $20

Lunch:  $8.50

Repertoire Packet: $12.65

All participants must have original music, no photocopies will be permitted. Also, there will be no refunds for music once the music is mailed, and no refunds for registration or lunch unless we receive the cancellation by Wednesday, October 31. 

Registration will close October 31 or when we reach 140 participants.
