Share your love for Christ by playing with toddlers and preschoolers, and holding babies in our nursery care during worship services on Sundays at Birmingham First.
We ask for volunteers to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service and stay until all the children are picked up. Chairs are available to sit in while interacting with the children. A staff person will have oversight of the nursery and change all diapers. So no need to worry about that!
Pastor Susie and Kim Bowyer will walking you through the volunteer application process and brief training, which is required for all volunteers working with children & vulnerable adults. If you have questions, please reach out to them.
We require a minimum of two adults be present during each nursery care shift. One adult will be an employee. We are looking to identify at least one adult volunteer for each date and worship service. Middle and High School students are welcome to volunteer as a second volunteer.
