Volunteers are needed for Sunday School & Nursery through the summer months!

Children & Family Ministries needs caring & fun individuals like you to provide a safe environment for children this summer during worship.  We will host a one-room Sunday school experience for children preschool through elementary school.

Children begin in 10:00 am worship with their parents.  After a Children’s Moment, we will escort the children to Sunday school.  A simple Bible lesson with activity will be prepared for you.  Playground time and snack will be worked into each lesson.  Email reminders with a lesson plan will be sent the week of.

We must have 3 volunteers prepared to lead summer Sunday school each week to offer quality programming.

We will pause Sunday school on June 2 & 23, Aug 4, & Sept 1 so families can worship together.  The first Sunday of each month is family worship and communion.

Share your love for Christ by playing with toddlers and preschoolers and holding babies in our nursery care during worship services on Sundays at Birmingham First.  We ask for volunteers to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service and stay until all the children are picked up.  Chairs are available to sit in while interacting with the children.

A staff person will have oversight of the nursery and change all diapers. Staff will be scheduled separately from this volunteer sign up.

We require a minimum of two adults be present during each nursery care shift.  One adult will be an employee.  We are looking to identify at least one adult volunteer for each date and worship service.  Middle and High School students are welcome to volunteer as a second volunteers.
