Prelude – Early Childhood Music Classes
Classes begin Tuesday, February 6, 2024
Early Childhood Music Classes
Newborn – 3 Years Old, and a Parent or Caregiver
Participation in this music ministry is one of the most profound gifts that you can give a child. Imagine a lifetime full of music — not just listening to the radio, but being able to participate in any musical activity and reap the benefits that music education has on development in math, science, language and many other intelligences.
If you peaked into one of our Prelude sessions, you might see caregivers bouncing kids on their knees, playing tickle games, wiggling their child’s toes, dancing with their toddler, or singing songs together. It would look like caregivers bonding and having fun with their kids, but much the same way language is developed, these games are forming the musical pathways in the brain.
A child who participates in Prelude will grow to be able to:
- Sing and play instruments
- Participate fully in a worship service
- Dance
- Excel in math, science, and languages
- Enjoy participating in choir, band, or orchestra
- Become a concert musician
- More fully appreciate the art of music as a listener
- Sing to their children and keep the cycle going
Who can participate? Children age birth through 3 years old, and their parents or caregiver.
