Missions and Service

Serving Others

We are continually striving to “equip disciples of Jesus Christ for mission and ministry.” We seek to make ways available for everyone to offer their prayers, presence, gifts and service to be used by God for the work of Christ’s kingdom. That’s the full meaning of “stewardship” — the faithful use of what God has given us for God’s work in the church and the world. This happens within our congregation, in the community, and literally around the world. At Birmingham First, we answer the Lord’s call in so many different ways. Our Missions Ministry includes 26 different mission teams. Our 11 choirs invite folks to use their talents in worship. Our Sunday School relies on over 250 volunteers. Our usher ministry involves over 180 men and women. We invite you to explore the Missions and Service section of our website to find ways that you might also respond, “Here I am, Lord. Send me!”
