Methodist Children’s Home Society provides an environment of love and understanding that assists children in becoming healthy and productive. Methodist Children’s Home Society has been responding to the needs of these special youngsters by providing an array of residential, foster care, adoption and therapeutic services since 1917.
We respond to the needs of abused and neglected children by supporting the programs of the Home, which includes housing, educational, clinical and therapeutic services. Our team has sponsored Christmas parties, bowling events, picnics and other activities throughout the year. At Christmas, you can select children for whom to purchase a gift and an article of clothing. These items are collected at the Birmingham First and distributed before the holiday.
Our team is busiest around the Christmas holiday, when we organize gifts for the children, and we can use help in transporting the collected items to the Home. In the Spring, groups from Birmingham First provide each ‘foster care” child an age-appropriate Easter basket.
