Cass Community Social Services

Cass Community Social Services is dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of the diverse populations they serve by providing for basic needs, including affordable housing; promoting self reliance, and encouraging community involvement and improvement. Cass assists women and children without a home, the newly poor without a job, and the addicted and afflicted without hope.

What We Do

We volunteer at Cass Community Social Services in Detroit, which is an agency dedicated to providing food, housing, health services, and job programs for the homeless.

When We Do It

There are many volunteer opportunities throughout the year: Organize a date for your family or students to work in the CCSS kitchen, sign up to help spring clean the CCSS campus, attend Empty Bowls Detroit in Eastern Market and the annual CCSS dinner. To support the tiny houses project, donate leftover materials from home renovations. If you’re a sports fan, put together a foursome for the annual CCSS golf outing at Fox Hills in September. Help us bring joy to homeless families by volunteering at the CCSS Christmas party or donating items to the Cass Christmas store. Bring comfort to the homeless all winter by donating to the warming center.
