Hands4Detroit – Donations

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hands4Detroit will not be meeting in person this year.  Instead, they are responding to requests of The Methodist Children’s Home and Cass Community Social Services.

Birmingham First can support Hands4Detroit this year by providing some of the things requested on the lists below. We can all be part of the response to COVID-19 by assisting these two front-line missions organizations.

  1. Methodist Children’s Home Society (MCHS) has had an increase in enrollment because of COVID-19. They have organized their needs into kits (see the list).
  2. Cass Community Social Services has begun a unique drive. They are creating a comprehensive Tools Library and would like donations of any kind of used or new tool (see the tools library list). Cass also needs volunteers to help set up their Tools Library. (Contact Cass at 313-883-2277)

Donations will be collected through October 31 and may be placed in the bins outside of the Christian Life Center marked “Hands4Detroit.” For large tools that will not fit in the bins, please email Karla Bole to make arrangements.
