Amid the melodious sounds of Christmas carols and sacred music led by our Chancel Choir, we will reflect on the meaning of the season as we commemorate the birth of the Messiah. Our sermon, “Making Room: Sharing the Love of Christmas,” from John 1:10-12 and John 3:16-17, presents a litany of what the birth of the Messiah means to the world today. The amazing incarnation of our Lord ushers into our world a redeeming grace that offers the sinner a lifeline to salvation. It offers the broken-hearted a healing balm, and a dysfunctional world the discipline of the Holy Spirit. I invite you to experience the joy of the Lord at Birmingham First this Christmas Eve. Whatever you are going through this season, do not go through it alone. Come, let us worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! There is a place for you here!
