Caring Ministries

Caring Ministry has been a resource for many years in helping our congregation to navigate thru difficult times. Historically it has been the place where a member or anyone from the community can call to have a listening ear for any need that they might have. While the church building and most offices in the church are closed, we are still very available for help.

In the time of COVID, Caring Ministry has taken on new urgency for many of our members. This office is a source of well established, multiple resources to help others identify the best resources for their struggle. Whatever your need, all will be treated confidentially, and we will do everything that we can to assist you in finding resources and answers.

When you make a direct call for someone that is in the hospital, or for prayers before a procedure, your call will be answered by Lisa Marsh, Coordinator of Caring Ministries. Caring Ministry has an established clergy and laity care team that meets on a weekly basis and coordinates appropriate care for our members. Together the team handles everything from hospital, nursing home, and homebound visits. The office also offers referrals for in-home medical and respite care, housing, mental health services, meals, and prayers. We have volunteers to assist you with grocery shopping, rides to medical appointments, pharmacy pick-ups, and other errands.

For any of these needs, please call Lisa. Messages can be left on her church telephone extension (248) 646-1200, ext 3160, or at her home office where she is working remotely during COVID: (248) 579-6550. If you are calling after business hours you may leave a message or if your need is immediate you may call the Pastor on Call phone Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM: 248-646-1200 and Weekends and Evenings: 248-408-0038.
