Being Grateful in Difficult Times – An Online Journey

You are invited to participate in a free online course “Being Grateful in Difficult Times.” Diana Butler Bass, the award-winning author of multiple books, including her award-winning book Grateful, the Transformative Power of Giving Thanks, facilitates this course.

There are six units to the course, ranging from 20 to 30 minutes apiece. There is also a conversation corner, which includes Diana’s conversations with other writers (including Fr. Jim Martin, Anne Lamont, and Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg) about how giving thanks has made a difference in their own lives. You can do this course on your own, with family and friends, or in a group.

To access all course materials, click here. After you click on “register now,” you will go to a page with several options for how to register. We have already registered as a congregation. That option is highlighted and is now FREE. Leave it checked and go to the bottom of the page and click on “Enroll in Course.” Follow the directions and enroll!

Pastor Shawn will be leading a group that will meet via Zoom on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. to view the videos and discuss the course materials. The group will meet beginning on Tuesday, November 3rd, and continue through December 15th. To register to be a part of this group, click here; or you can contact Pastor Shawn and let him know that you plan to join the group. Zoom information to join the Tuesday evening group doing the course together is below.

For additional information contact Pastor Shawn, or the Rev. Rachael Dunlap, Associate Pastor, Discipleship at 734-620-3566.

The free access to this course for our congregation is provided through an Endowment Board grant.  Enroll today!
