On December 19, children will tell the Christmas story with a pageant that is sure to be nothing short of fabulous!

The Berkley First children will present a Christmas Pageant during worship on December 19.

"Christmas Town”

4:30-6:30 p.m.

Our front lawn will welcome the community as it transforms into Christmas Town!  Visitors to our town will be dazzled by our display of 50,000 Christmas lights, stop by our cafe for hot chocolate, visit our Live Nativity with petting zoo, stop at the artisan’s shop to make a craft, roast marshmallows in the town square, get a picture with Santa, and much more!  Of course, our sanctuary will be filled with the sounds of joyful Christmas carols as our choirs perform individual concerts throughout the evening.  It promises to be a magical night filled with the joy of Christmas!

Service of Hope

Monday, December 20

7:00 PM in the Birmingham First Sanctuary and livestream

Service of Hope is a peaceful, contemplative service for those who are carrying pain or loss during this season of celebration. Through a shared message, music, prayer and candle lighting, we quietly look toward the future. We join together to find strength in community, to remember God’s promises, and to share hope for tomorrow.

Christmas Eve Services

Friday, December 24

Birmingham Campus

All services except 5:30 will be livestreamed

  • 2:00 PM in the Sanctuary—Traditional worship with lessons and carols, Holy Communion, a sermon by Rev. Elbert Dulworth, and candle lighting. Nursery care is available for children 4 years and younger.
  • 4:00 PM in the Sanctuary—Worship for children younger than 5 years old and their families. Costumed characters tell the Christmas story.
  • 5:30 PM on the Front Lawn—Gather around a fire beneath the Christmas lights and sip hot cocoa as we sing carols and hear a message from Rev. Susie Hierholzer. All ages are welcome. The service will be brief but meaningful. Nursery care is available for 4-year-olds and younger. In case of unfavorable weather, this worship experience will meet in the Christian Life Center.
  • 7:00 and 11:00 PM in the Sanctuary—Traditional services featuring beautiful music and a sermon by Rev. Elbert Dulworth, Holy Communion and candle lighting. Nursery care is available at 7:00 for children 4 years and younger.

Berkley Campus

2:00, 4:00 and 6:00 PM in the Sanctuary and Online—Worship features classic Christmas carols and candle lighting, with modern instruments, beautiful harmonies, and an intimate feel. Children’s programming is offered at 4:00. Children are invited to worship with their families at 2:00 and 6:00.
