Calling all members and friends of Birmingham and Berkley First! You are warmly invited to attend the 4th Annual Endowment Dinner.
Friday, April 26
This year’s dinner will provide an opportunity to hear about the good work of our Endowment over the past year, witness some amazing entertainment, and listen to the words of a renowned preacher.
Our theme is “A Time for Planting.”
Chef Hollie Kotwicki will start us off with appetizers, followed by dinner with your choice of three entrees (prime rib, salmon, or vegetarian parmesan), all compliments of the Endowment Committee.
We are extremely pleased to have two special features at this 2019 Endowment event. First, our very own Dr. Scott Wilkinson will perform three songs from the production of Bonhoeffer The Musical which he has been writing over several years (spoiler alert: this is close to hitting the big stage!).
Second, Dr. L. Gregory Jones, Dean of the Divinity School at Duke University (where we get our intern each summer), is our keynote speaker. He will connect with our theme by sharing a reflection entitled “In Praise of an Unnamed Virtue.”
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Reservations are required and seating is limited to 200. This event usually fills up quickly, so please RSVP by email to Janet Smylie and let us know your entrée preference. You may also sign up during the coffee hours on Sunday.
