Sanctuary Renovations and Organ Replacement: Photos March 5, 2005

Digging the hole for the floor box at the rear of the sanctuary. This box will contain all audio leads necessary for the connection of an auxiliary sound system for special presentations. This box is located on the east side of the center aisle at the 3rd and 4th pews from the back and will appear as a normal piece of floor covering. Those 2 pews have been shortened 5 feet to allow for handicap seating either in chairs or wheelchairs. When the auxiliary sound system is in use, a large control unit will be located in this space. All wiring will be fed from the center air return tunnel under the sanctuary through the tunnel wall into the floor box and then into 2 electrical panels in the floor box that will contain the necessary connectors.

The space in the east chancel hall cleared of the 2 existing electrical panels and their associated "rats nest" of wiring and breakers.

Initial installation of the new single electrical panel.

"Slight" wall modifications required.

Installing the breaker back in the panel.

Same hole for the tunnel side; note the unfinished conduit that will be routed into the floor box.

The 3 principal power leads to the new panel; two 200 amp power and one neutral lead.
