Sanctuary Renovations
and Organ Replacement: Photos February 7-11, 2005
During
the seventh week of our sanctuary
renovation project, we did the following:
Installed
and patched balcony ceiling.
Installed
new recessed light fixtures in narthex.
Painted
balcony ceiling.
Patched
sanctuary ceiling.
Constructed
ceilings and floors and drywall the walls of the new "upper"
organ chambers above the existing east and west organ chambers.
Constructed
new block walls at the point that the south cross tunnel
under the narthex encounters the "inside walls"
of the east and west sanctuary air supply tunnels. New air
supply ducts will pass through and end at the "outside"
edge of these walls.
Installed
hanger brackets and upper track for folding wall between
sanctuary and narthex.
