During the sixth week of our sanctuary renovation project, we did the following:

  • Installed new trusses and steel decking for the chancel floor
  • Poured the new chancel floor
  • Built new light coves (raceway) along each side of the sanctuary at the juncture of the side wall and the ceiling, replacing the existing molding which was removed earlier
  • Began installation of new air handling systems duct work and controls
  • Erected scaffolding and installed drywall on the balcony ceiling
  • Constructed ceilings and floors for the new "secondary chambers" above the existing chambers in both the east and west organ chambers
  • Did ongoing electrical, mechanical, and carpentry work
