During
the second week of our sanctuary
renovation project, we began the removal of the old
organ, demolished walls in the basement to permit the extraction
of existing mechanical equipment, completed removing the
pews and other furniture, and did abestos abatement in several
area.
We
completed removing the pews from the main floor and balcony,
then loaded them into a truck to ship them to North Carolina
where they will be refinished.
We
began removing the old organ, which has been sold to a church
in Memphis.
Meanwhile,
work was progressing on parts of the church which are rarely
seen.
