In the
year 2000, a very generous gift was made to our church for
the replacement of our aging organ. That initiated several
years of careful study about not only the organ but also other
renovations necessary for our sanctuary.
On March
22, 2004, a charge conference was held to discuss the plans
which had been developed for these renovations. Before the
conference, a letter and
a set of questions and answers
about the project were sent to each church member. At the
charge conference, unanimous approval was given to the resolution
authorizing the funding of this project.
As part
of the "We Have Work to Do" campaign to raise the
funds for this project, many members of the church and the
church staff discussed their reasons for supporting this project
and additional questions about the project were answered:
