Putting Foundations In Place – Costa Rica VIM Mission Trip

A Volunteers in Mission team of 26 people traveled from First United Methodist Church of Birmingham to Mansiones and Coranado, Costa Rica on March 17th where they worked at the Methodist Children’s Home, conducted Sunday School and held a Vacation Bible School at Llano Grande. The team completely painted the exterior of the church in Mansiones and dug a drainage ditch to help prepare the partially completed parsonage for the rainy season. They also worked at the Methodist Children’s Home helping dig the foundation, putting together re-bar cages, pouring cement and playing with the first 11 children who are living at the home. At Mansiones, two Costa Rican men shared how affected they were by the fact that people from the United States would come to Costa Rica and help them build churches. Praise be to God.
