Early Childhood Music Classes
Newborn – 3 Years Old, and a Parent
Winter Session begins Thursday, January 12
Participation in this music ministry is one of the most profound gifts that you can give a child. Imagine a lifetime full of music — not just listening to the radio, but being able to participate in any musical activity and to truly appreciate the depth in all music.
Bouncing, wiggling, tickling, moving, and singing…all activities that you might see in one of our classes for infants and toddlers. They might seem ordinary enough, but the science behind them and the brain patterns that are being developed are life changing. Infants begin to make sense of language long before they are able to speak. They are constantly interacting with language causing the brain to maintain those linguistic pathways for use later in life. Our Early Childhood Music classes are designed to do exactly the same thing for the musical pathways. Plus, they are an incredibly fun and bonding experience for parent and child.
A child who participates in Prelude will grow to be able to:
- Sing and play instruments
- Participate fully in a worship service
- Sing Happy Birthday in tune
- Enjoy participating in choir, band, or orchestra
- Become a concert musician
- More fully appreciate the art of music as a listener
- Sing to their children and keep the cycle going
Who can participate? Children age birth through 3 years old, and their parents.
