Singers who
will be in 4th through 12th grades in the fall are invited
to participate in First Church’s Choir Camp this summer.
Have a great time singing and getting to know other choir
members. Our theme this year is “Whose earth is it,
anyway?” and we’ll be focusing on how to be good stewards of
God’s world.
Counselors
and other staff from First Church plan and lead the
week-long program. In addition to lots of singing, there is
swimming, crafts, games, special evening activities, Bible
study, and worship --
and all of it is fun, fun, fun!

Where
is it?
Camp Lael, which is outside of
Lapeer. It's not too far, but just far enough!
What
is Choir Camp?
A camping experience for youth
which has swimming, boating, singing, campfires, rope courses,
hiking, crafts, water games, worship, and Christian education.
Its primary purpose is to provide opportunities for attaining
deeper Christian relationships through Christian education,
music, special interest classes, swimming, athletics, and
evening activities. Each camper has the opportunity to
discover, express, and celebrate his or her talents in a loving,
caring, Christian environment.
For seasoned choristers, it's a chance to get a head start
on the year's singing. For newcomers, it's a chance to "test
the waters" and see if choir is for them. For everyone,
it's a time to build lasting friendships with each other
and to strengthen bonds with God.

Who
is it?
Camping is open to anyone who
will be entering grades 4-12 in the fall. Campers don't have
to be members of our church. Campers should, however,
have the very strong interest of being in choir in the fall.
First priority for space will be given to current choir members,
and, if space permits, other church members and friends who
may be looking for a church home.
How
much is it?
The cost is $240
per camper. (Can you really afford to stay home for that
much?)
