The First Student Ministries Team invites all rising 6th graders  (just completed 5th grade) to their first student ministries event!

Enjoy a free lunch in The Pleasant Street Café (upstairs in the CLC) at The First United Methodist Church where you will meet other students, Pastor Chad Oyer, and his ministry team!

Water War fun will  follow lunch when all Rising 6th Graders will  have a blast out on the front lawn of the church with Pastor Chad and friends!

Be ready to get soaked and don’t forget your towel!

The Ruth Ellis Center, located in Highland Park, is the Midwest’s only agency that is solely dedicated to serving homeless, runaway and at-risk LGBTQ youth. The Center provides young people with food, clothing, a sense of community, and the tools necessary to enable them to move toward independence. On Monday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, we are hosting a Ruth Ellis Center information session. This is an opportunity for members of our congregation to learn more about the unique, life-affirming and inspiring work of the Center and FUMC’s role in supporting that work.
