Endowment Fund Auction
April 23, 2006
Going
Once! Going Twice! Sold!!!
These were the
sounds which echoed throughout the CLC on Sunday night, April 23,
for the 2006 Endowment Fund Auction. There were opportunities to bid
on great vacation packages, trips, jewelry, art, sporting event
packages and much, much more!
There was a
sit-down dinner, fully cooked and catered by The Birmingham
Community House, live music, child care, a live auctioneer and
hundreds of silent auction items. Silent Auction bidding began on
Sunday morning and reopened at 5:00 p.m. before dinner began. Dinner
started at 6:30 and was followed by the Live Auction.
Tickets were
$25 each, or a whole table for $200!
The 2006
Endowment Fund Auction was chaired by
Mindy Richards Dunbar and Paul Dunbar.
The Endowment Fund Auction Committee included Harold and Betty Melin,
Barbara and Charlie Shallberg, Jerry and Donna Haymond, Sylvia
Hagenlocker, John and Wendy Kreitz, Lin Schoelch, Blake Green and
Ann Littleton. A special thanks to all the support we received from
the church administrative staff, especially Tina Grubb and Janet
Smylie. The Master of Ceremonies was Neil Ferguson and the
Auctioneer was Marty Wegner. A great job was done by all.
Our theme, a
tree, symbolized the growth of the Endowment Fund. With more than
$40,000 collected from this event, the Endowment Fund is just under the two million dollar mark.
