Crossroads Career Network

Fresh Perspectives is a coaching and mentoring ministry for persons in career and job transition. Additionally, we offer a partnership with Crossroads Career  Network, an online, Christian, Bible-based career program. This web-based resource contains a career planning workbook plus over 150 online career tools designed to help individuals explore careers and discover God’s calling through a unique six-step process. For a complete description, go to www.crossroadscareer.org.

If you are interested in becoming a Career Explorer and having all of the network resources available to you, register from the website referencing “First United Methodist Church Birmingham” using the membership access code “fumc2008″. This will allow you full entry to the website’s wealth of information. If you would like one of our career counselors to provide assistance or answer questions, after you have signed into the network, send us an email.

Throughout the year, we conduct seven-week Career Explorer small group programs. For more information, please email us.  New groups can be formed with 12 or more individuals. Everyone registered will be notified of these new offerings by email. If you are interested in other area meetings or resources regarding career and job topics available to the general public, click here for Resources.

We are also looking for Industry Guides. These are volunteers who are willing to spend a 15-20 minute phone conversation several times a month to help our Career Explorers learn about their industry and how they might go about networking to work their career and job search plan. You will not have to attend any meetings. If you are interested, send us an email with your phone number. We will contact you to explain the program.

If you have a personal career need, please contact Rev. Rod Quainton.

May God bless you on your career journey.
