From time to time, the Music Ministry offers a "class" called Bells for Fun. This is a way for interested persons to try their hand at the art of handbell ringing without the pressure of performing in church. (Truth be known, once the group forms, they want to share the excitement of what they have accomplished, and perform once in church anyway!)

Sometimes the class runs in conjunction with the University of Life series. Sometimes, it happens at unpredictable times of the year. It takes a minimum of 7 people to form a class. When the list reaches that number, we agree on a time to meet for 3 or 4 sessions.

By the end of the class, the group will be able to play some simple arrangements of hymns and a seasonal piece. Also, they will have learned the basic techniques of ringing and have been exposed to the more advanced techniques including four-in-hand.
