Baldwin Enrichment Camp Interns — Pontiac

Internships give several of our church youth an opportunity to serve at Baldwin Center, helping at-risk students during the summer. For details, see our Baldwin Summer Intern page.

Baldwin Programs — Pontiac

Founded in 1981, Baldwin Center has outreach ministries of food, clothing, education, day care, and programs for young people designed to reach the homeless and the poor with assistance, empowerment, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This project funding provides camperships to help disadvantaged children to attend summer camp and also provides assistance to these children in purchasing school supplies and clothing to return to school in the fall.

Cass Community — Detroit

We support a number of important projects of the Cass Community United Methodist Church. For more information about ways our church supports Cass, see our Cass Community page. For more details about other projects of Cass Community, see their website at www.casscommunity.com.

Methodist Children's Home — Detroit

This is a quality care facility with Methodist affiliation reaching out to provide healing and growth to children and youth in crisis situations and to overcome problems that have occurred as a result of physical and sexual abuse and neglect. The goal of the home is to reunite, if possible, the children with their birth families.

God's Country Cooperative Parish — Paradise (in Michigan's Upper Penninsula)

This project in the Upper Peninsula is to aid the work of the church and the community missionary with her work of church and community development in the isolated communities through resourcing, improved communications, spiritual growth and involvement of cooperative parishes. We also support Margaret Madison, the missionary for this parish, through our church operating budget.

Habitat for Humanity — Oakland County (Michigan)

For the past 6 years, our church has been part of the Circle of Faith, a group of churches in Oakland County which built one house each year through Habitat. In 2005, as part of Habitat's Jimmy Carter Work Project in Michigan, our church will be building a complete house ourselves. For more information, see our Habitat for Humanity page.

United Methodist Retirement Community — Detroit Conference

This facility in Chelsea, Michigan, provides both independent living apartments and residential nursing care, as well as full service health, recreational and spiritual support facilities. For more information, see our Chelsea Retirement Communities page.

Zeba United Methodist Indian Mission — L'Anse (in Michigan's Upper Penninsula)

Major renovations are needed to repair this historic church serving Native Americans. They are located in an economically impoverished community having high rates of alcoholism and teen pregnancy. Funds are needed to help repair the foundation and the steeple.
