Community Health Program— Liberia
This money funds projects for our missionary Beatrice Gbanga in Liberia. Mrs. Gbanga is a nurse who coordinates the Community Based Primary Health Care project in Sierra Leone and Liberia. She works with trainers who in turn train volunteers to provide primary health care in these nations where local professional health care is often unavailable. She also directs the HIV/AIDS awareness and the prosthetic limb programs in these two countries where civil war has destroyed much of their infrastructure.
FUMC Mission Teams
This money is set aside to help with project expenses for our mission teams. Note that the mission team members pay for their own travel expenses. The Partners in Mission fund pays only for project materials.

Michigan Area is working to provide the eight cents a day so each child can have a hot lunch. See our Haiti Mission page for additional information about our support of Haiti. |
