Partners in Mission

What is Partners in Mission?

Partners in Mission is a fund managed by the Missions Ministry of our church. This fund is used to sponsor many local, national, and global mission projects. Recent projects include purchasing a filter to provide pure drinking water to an entire community in Appalachia, providing two staff members for an academic camp for 60 at-risk students in Pontiac, and purchasing construction materials used by our church's Volunteers in Mission team for a homeless shelter in the Czech Republic.

There are no administrative costs for Partners in Mission, so 100% of your donation goes directly to the projects of the supported group.

How does it differ from the operating budget?

Partners in Mission is completely separate from the church operating budget to which you make your annual pledge. The salaries for our missionaries are paid entirely though our church operating budget, but the projects of the missionaries and the Missions Ministry are funded both by the operating budget and Partners in Mission.

What about Volunteers in Mission?

Our Volunteers in Mission travel expenses are paid by the volunteers themselves. The Partners in Mission fund provides project money such as construction material for our Volunteers in Mission teams.

How do I donate to Partners in Mission?

Partners in Mission is completely funded by donations which go beyond your annual church pledge. Donations can be made by specifically designating Partners in Mission on line 3 of your weekly offering envelope. You can also use the special Partners In Mission envelopes which are sent out at Christmas and Easter.

Another way to support the Partners in Mission fund is through lighting the Missions Candle.

What projects are supported by Partners in Mission?

There are numerous local, state, national, and global projects which are described on the pages linked below

Global Projects

Each Partners In Mission project is reviewed and selected by the Missions Ministry of our church. You can learn more about these projects at our annual Missions Fair.

The Spirit of God within us leads and comforts us as we act out our faith as followers of Jesus Christ. As you provide for others, much more is returned to you through God's Spirit in the world. Thank you for your sharing and commitment.
