During this inaugural trip a dozen Birmingham youth group alumni headed down to the City of New Orleans to work with the United Methodist Disaster Relief efforts there.  Along with seeing the city (both the devastated and revived parts), we helped people move out of FEMA trailers and into their own homes, and we helped with some painting and tiling work for a woman who has had other groups come to help get her house back in order.Along with snow storms on the ride home and the 80 or so other MSU Methodist students who we interacted with, this was a great trip both for fun and service!
