Accomplishments

These are the accomplishments of our Volunteers In Mission team during their trip to the Czech Republic in 2004.

Reconstruction of Building "A" hallway

1. Remove wall boards.
2. Remove ceiling boards.
3. Purchased and replaced new wall boards.
4. Helped pay for new door to dinning room.
5. Helped pay for new door to building A second floor.

Reconstruction of walkway ( to allow handicap access )

6. Removed several layers of concrete walkway.
7. Removed curbs.
8. Added sand to level walkway.
9. Layed paving stones for new level walkway.

Project money for center.

10. Helped pay for new "office networked" copy machine/printer.
11. Helped pay for Ford van for food delivery.
12. Helped pay for children's program.
13. Left money to pay for completion of project.

Garden

14. Building "A" the Castle - front garden weeded, mowed, trimmed.
15. Stone borders put around garden areas.
16. Planted new Daylilly garden .
17. Cleaned memorial garden in front of church.
18. Cleaned memorial garden in back of church.
19. General weed control around center.

Programs

20. Participated in Sunday morning worship service at Horni Pocernice UMC.
21. Team members gave sermon, testimony, sang 2 hymns and communion.
22. Participated in Sunday morning worship service at Nove Mesto, Jecna UMC.
23. Organized several daily craft projects for clients.
24. Organized picture project, including picture frames and pictures
25. Hosted celebration "Thanksgiving Party" for staff, team and church members.
26. Played soccer game with staff, friends, team, and clients.
27. Helped with noon food deliveries.

Other

28. Duke intern and husband went to prison on ministerial visit.
29. Three team members made hospital visit to old friend.
30. Met with Jecna pastor to start plans for a youth exchange or visit.
