We are looking for people who are interested in supporting this mission team which will continue in its efforts for years to come.This endeavor will be an on-going mission from Birmingham First and will need much support and backing here at home, as well as members to go on the trip.
We anticipate that the building project will cost about $12,000.

Details of Our Trip
Where: Tonjibe, an Indian village in the North Central region of Costa Rica
When: January 26 - February 9, 1998
Who: Birmingham First and other interested Methodist church members.
Leaders: Jim Miller, Melody Hurley, Bob and Joan Suda
Why: To build an addition on the one-room school, and to help run a VCS program for the children and an enrichment program for the women of the church.

Adopt a Student
About $100 is needed to supply one secondary school student for one year of school. This amount includes books, school supplies, and one school uniform.
There were 10 students last year who were supported by members of this VIM team.
Church Kitchen
About $500 will be needed for an electric stove for team use that will be given to the church.
About $500 will be needed for a refrigerator for team use that will be given to the church.
Flatware for about 30 place settings (not plastic).
