Please join Dr. Jack Harnish, Rev. Jeff Nelson, Deacon Carl Gladstone, and Dr. Dan Krichbaum as they lead a prayerful, studied dialogue about faith and practice.
This class will examine the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church to learn what they say to us about such topics as church and state relations, creation, climate change, human sexuality, war and peace, abortion and other social issues.
We will discuss how scripture interacts with social issues and how we can allow for diversity of opinion within the church.
Class sessions will be held 7:00-8:30 p.m. on the following Tuesdays in the CLC North Conference Room:
- September 25
- October 2
- October 23
- October 30
- November 6
The cost for the class is $10. To register for the class, contact Linda Howell (248-646-6407 ext. 3137 or program@fumcbirmingham.org).
Child care will be provided for ages 5 and under. Contact Janet Hucke at 248-646-6407 ext. 3141 by the Friday before each class session for which you need child care.
