In preparation for a Volunteer In Mission team from Birmingham going to Chile for the first time, Jim and Bev Miller went to Iquique, Chile, to meet our new missionaries Luis and Janet Garcia. During their stay, Jim and Bev traveled to Pachica and the Kusayapu Agricultural Institute where the team would be working and staying for two weeks on the anticipated trip in 2003.

The new Emana office is housed in a small area on the south end
of the Methodist English High School in Iquique.

Kusayapu is located in the foot hills of the Andes Mountains.

The library and chapel addition will be built
on the back of the existing school.
