In These Days of Resurrection

Thomas lacked proof. Thomas needed to know for sure. Thomas wanted to be able to prove the Resurrection, so he asked to touch the wounds in Jesus’ hands and put his hand on the mark of the sword in Jesus’ side. John Thomas Carlisle writes:
Under the sign of Thomas we live;
We doubters,
We wanderers,
We wonderers.
We must put our heads as well as our fingers
At the point where facts puncture the flesh
And measure how far love can unsafely go.
In these days of Resurrection, we will discover once again the wonder and amazement of those first disciples, and we will realize once again how far love will “unsafely go.” The answer is, all the way to the cross. All the way to the empty tomb. All the way for us.
We invite you to join us in worship, in fellowship, in nurture and in praise of the Risen Christ.
