Our Shawl Ministry is a growing program where shawls are made by the knitting group and given as a special gift from the church to those who are in need of prayer support.

Each shawl begins with a prayer and a blessing. As the shawl is created, the knitter focuses on the individual who will receive the shawl, figuratively knitting in prayers and blessings for that individual. When completed, the shawl is given a final blessing by the members of the group before being presented to the recipient.

The shawls are given to comfort people in times of stress and illness. They are given in celebration and as gifts of love and caring. They are given to men and women, to youth and adults, to family members and friends and strangers.

Please join us at the Pleasant Street Café in the Christian Life Center for this meaningful ministry while enjoying the peaceful setting and the fellowship of this group.
