Save the date for a fun, family friendly evening with nationally known singer Mary Rice Hopkins and Company

Singer-songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins and her band will present a concert of Christian music for children and families on Friday, October 13, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in Ritter Hall at Birmingham First United Methodist Church. She will perform songs from her latest CD “Sing Through the Year” as well as a medley of her award-winning songs such as “Hippopotamus,” “Superman,” “Fish Are Gonna Bite,” and “Matilda the Gorilla.” From start to finish her concerts are interactive experiences of nonstop fun and singing that bring audiences of all ages to their feet. The newest addition to her concerts is Darcie Maze’s fun-loving puppet who has conversations with Mary about peer pressure and other issues facing kids today. Tickets are available at the church through the Children’s Ministry office for $5.00 per person (maximum of $25.00 per family). First United Methodist Church is located at 1589 W.
