In order to fulfill a promise made to kids in our church that they would undergo a scalping in return for $3,000 raised to support our 2005 Habitat for Humanity house, Carl Gladstone and Jeff Nelson had their heads shaved on Sunday morning, March 6. As of the Sunday morning in question, the kids had raised $3,557.49. Doing the honors in front of a jam-packed Fellowship Hall was one of our new church members, Marcella Pasquinelli.

In a moment of unbridled enthusiasm, Jeff Nelson riled up the crowd with a second promise. When (and if) the total amount raised by the church school reaches $6,000, Jeff and Carl will kiss a cow in the parking lot on Sunday morning. (Hey folks, it's a Wisconsin thing….maybe something Packers fans do.)
