Cass Scott Center Luncheon
April 5, 2003

The Missions Ministry of our church volunteered to prepare lunch at the Cass Scott Center,
where residents and people in the day-time drop-in shelter gather for their meal.

Dear Friends of Cass at First Church Birmingham,

On behalf of the residents of the Scott Center and members of our community who enjoyed the lunch that you prepared on April 5, let me express our appreciation. Everyone seemed thrilled with the Sloppy Joes and dessert. I was particularly appreciative of the hot, tasty meal that you were able to prepare under less than ideal circumstances. While the opening of the Scott Center has been an exciting time for us, the lack of a kitchen does present a challenge as we try to continue our Saturday Community Lunch program. Thank you for your time, creativity, perseverance and commitment to service.

Sincerely yours,

Rev. Faith Fowler
